Skylights are distributed throughout the steepest parts of the roof in search of zenithal light, in order words, seeking the optimum use of natural light, but avoiding the direct entry of solar rays. In so doing a pleasant lighting is achieved, which at the same time absorbs the increase in internal temperature.
A practical example of this is the saw tooth design where skylights are placed on the vertical paraments.
